All night long :-(

10:25AM and that’s me not long out of my bed after an ‘all nighter’ on the good ship Hallaig.

Routine work on the hybrid system and a ‘simple’ fault on two 400/230V 60kVa transformers turning into something of an epic at 1:30AM when we were almost done, or so we thought. The net result of which was me not getting in until I usually get up in a morning!!!!! Couldn’t have happened at a worse time, the parts are here for the Brochel generator, the parts are here for the Wife’s Subaru and I have to get ready to kill some pigs. Well, I better stop wittering away on here and get the bath set up then.

Repaired a couple of cracks in it yesterday ready for pig de-hairing tonight Smile

See you later Smile

  2. Paul its that time of year in your larder calendar .
Filling the freezer. A pig is one of the best providers of different cuts, joints & offal.
My mother & father had no problem buying for our table any part of a pig. Head for making cheek and broth. Pigs belly, tripe with milk & onions. Boiled trotters. Etc etc. Have a great time and the black pudding. 👍👨🏻‍✈️👍

  3. Good luck Paul, strongly advise medicinal alcohol, pig day always resulted in a stiff back. Flame gun and karcher for dehairing outside job for me. Never got used to the killing but didn’t stop us tucking in afterwards. My friend the doctors wife ardent black pudding fan, I can vividly remember when he came round mid black pudding and found the three of us looking like serial killers from black pudding making. Dr’s face was a picture.

    • Aye Andrew, hoping the new raised up bath will go a long way to sorting ‘butcher’s back’ 🙂
