Well so much for the ‘clearing up in the afternoon’ nonsense prophesised by XC Weather Sad smile Been boodly miserable here all day and me hands are still tingling with the cold. Ok, it’s hardly been below freezing but the stiff north wind and sleety snow that gets everything soaked has made it pure miserable, at least to a wimp like me. Callum and Jay took it all it their stride but me, I hate the cold and wet.

First thing I did this morning was clear away the snow from the post mounts and fit the nuts and plate washers ready for Callum’s arrival.

Callum had already prefabricated all the frame at the sawmill and a fine job of it he did too as it all slotted together perfectly.

Aside from taking a break for lunch during one particularly unpleasant snow shower we just bashed on and had it all up and solid by around 16:00.

And I gotta say, this is a seriously solid construction Smile

Be a few weeks now before the rest of the rafters, purlins and roof goes on but ‘so far, so good’ Smile The Searider is going to be very snug in there, might even be able to squeeze a car in too Smile
