Well, that’ll be the Linnhe on her way https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Loch_Linnhe fresh out of dry dock and hammering up to Raasay to let us away. As soon as she arrives we’ll head south and that’ll be me away from home for the best part of the ‘fortnight on’. So, with a bit of luck we’ll be away before lunch leaving the wee Linnhe to pick up the service at 12:15. The last few days have been spent getting ready for the trip doing the important stuff like organizing berths at Oban, Campbelltown et al and most importantly sorting out our food for the trip down, expect lots of mince and a big pot of soup Smile

Yesterday

having arisen at ‘stupid o clock’ yesterday to walk the dogs and feed the animals before 6:30 I was somewhat shattered last night and in me bed early, so here’s some of Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s events on Camera.

One of Tuesday morning’s dumper trips back from the quarry looking over Loch Arnish to Torran and it’s beautiful aspen bellow the cliff there. These trees are always striking against the majority birch and abundant willow and hazel.

Off for a walk with the pigs and dugs Smile

Rowan berries at South Arnish and Cnoch an Uan, again striking against the birch.

Hector’s Bothy Smile under construction at the Sconser ferry terminal, hopefully we’ll see a bacon roll or burger out of there next year. Tis gonna be a much needed ‘take away’ and bunkhouse just by the ferry. Dunno where everyone is going to park right enough cos it’s chaos in the summer now, but at least they’ll be able to eat whilst fighting over the queue Smile

Dun Caan on Tuesday with a dark tree on Skye and a dark Dun Caan on Wednesday with a light tree Smile

So, after a delightful end to a dreadful day I packed up the car and called it a day.
