A severe lack of entusiasm

Filed under: boats, daily doings — lifeattheendoftheroad @ 10:00 pm

Already it’s 9:30pm and I’ve only just started my wittering as I’m loaded with the ‘man flu’ which means I’ve got a cold. Darling wife has had it for a week and just gets on with life, me I shuffle about moaning,  feeling sorry for myself and looking for sympathy! This morning I couldn’t even face the full Scottish heart attack on a plate settling instead for boiled eggs which means I must truly be unwell so I’m just going to post a few pics and go to my bed.

Apart from assisting the odd proper engineer doing things I spent most of the day overhauling the bilge pumping valves and liasing with the Ardmaleish staff working on the Loch Striven.

We got a new rescue boat this year and the yard were busy making alterations to the handrails so it could be stowed with the engine in situ, making it much easier and faster to deploy. And that’s it, I’ve just drunk my Lemsip and I’m off to bed!
