Better late than never

Well I finally finished my shift, It’s Thursday night now and I’ve just spent the day preparing for our next pig but as with most things at the north end it’s never straight forward. Let me explain. We’re kind of restricted in the amount of pork, rabbit, and fish we can eat by the size of our freezer a Hotpoint RZA33 upright which is about the size of a regular fridge and can only freeze 18kg every 24 hours. It’s a good freezer and is A+ rated, you can squeeze a small pig in it but not much else and I’m sick of buying meat so after hours of research on the internet I bought a ‘Miele GT316 ES’ from Kitchen Science. This 10.3 cu ft freezer may be $440 (quid) but it’s streets ahead of anything else as regards economy and efficiency, there’s nothing comes close to this freezer and whilst our Hotpoint is an A+ this thing freezes 30kg per 24 hours has more than double the storage and uses less power. If you were on the grid this freezer would only cost you $14 (frigging yank keyboard, pounds) a year to run! Of course being twice the size meant it wouldn’t fit in the kitchen so it had to go in the porch, which meant that there was no room for the washing machine which had to go in the kitchen instead of the freezer! of course that means plumbing the washer in. This at last gives me the kick to fit the new sink that mum bought us last Christmas!

Now I think that ‘Astrocast Bistro 1.5′ looks very smart with the converted ex Raasay house 4’ urinal that is the draining board between the sink and window! and before you go UGHHHH, it’s the wrong way round so the side you aim at is on the bottom. Anyway I was well chuffed with the days efforts after which we prepared for taking Lilly the pig back to Uig along with a wee boar but I’ll tell you all about that tomorrow and leave you with a couple of Thursdays rainbows
