Here on Fair Isle, we are totally off grid, have our own electricity company & the main source of power are the 100kw & 60kw windmills. Having wind as your main source of power really makes you very aware of your usage & the things you dont really need, esp when every house here has a 3kw limit unless there is a storm blowing. Great to see many more wee windmills popping up all over the islands. But the logistics/weather has beaten me so far. Being a bit more realistic - see you Saturday probably 1615 or is fame making you a recluse? PS If you run over any broken pallets or loose bits of the pier, I'm sure they'll find a use up at the hostel.
