Hi RW,

I'm pretty sure bill is coming down to Raasay on the 23rd to pick someone up if that's any help. It's always worth phoning him anyway just on the off chance. The numbers on their website. I'll be on the ferry Saturday so see you then.

Hi A,

I've heard allot about your system on Fair Isle over the years glad to hear it's been a success, I've lived off grid now since 1985 but since we got the large (well large compared to our Rutland) turbine it's been like living on the grid only cheaper and more reliable.

Great to see many more wee windmills popping up all over the islands. Here on Fair Isle, we are totally off grid, have our own electricity company & the main source of power are the 100kw & 60kw windmills. Having wind as your main source of power really makes you very aware of your usage & the things you dont really need, esp when every house here has a 3kw limit unless there is a storm blowing.

Green with envy I am - Rona's been on the wishlist ever since Bill announced boat trips from Arnish or preferably points further north. But the logistics/weather has beaten me so far.

Being a bit more realistic - see you Saturday probably 1615 or is fame making you a recluse?

PS If you run over any broken pallets or loose bits of the pier, I'm sure they'll find a use up at the hostel.
