Here on Fair Isle, we are totally off grid, have our own electricity company & the main source of power are the 100kw & 60kw windmills. Having wind as your main source of power really makes you very aware of your usage & the things you dont really need, esp when every house here has a 3kw limit unless there is a storm blowing. Great to see many more wee windmills popping up all over the islands.
